HAPPY EID MUBARAK
Eid-ul- Fitr 2018
Every year, Muslims across the world gathers to celebrate Eid after fasting in a Holy Month RAMADAN.Why Muslims celebrate Eid?
In Ramadan, Muslims have been fasting from dawn to sunset for an entire month. Fast (Roza) is one of the five pillars of Islam - along with faith, prayer, charity and the pilgrimage - and gives Muslims a moment to reflect on their spiritual life in honor of the Quran being revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.H.U).
Eid al-Fitr is, therefore, the celebration marking the end of this solemn period of reassessment.
How do Muslims celebrate Eid?
Eid is celebrated for 3 days as national holidays. Muslims typically gather together at the mosque for pray Eid prayer early morning. After prayer, Muslims greet one another, commonly embracing three times the phrase "EID MUBARAK".
Children sometimes receive gifts from their elders and sweets were sent to their family members and other relationships.
